Fun, educational guitar lessons for young children!

Specifically developed for children aged 5-6 years, the Little Rockers Programme is delivered as small group lessons to optimise learning and enjoyment.  Students will make new friends while being taught the foundations of music and guitar playing with an emphasis on fun.

What will they learn?

During this programme students will:

•  read and play music notation in first position on the guitar
• develop fine motor skills and play with correct technique
• develop rhythmic and aural skills
• play songs using basic moveable chord shapes and different rhythms
• understand and apply simple music theory

Lessons

Students attend a 45 minute group lesson (3 – 5 guitarists) each week of the school term, and in addition have an average of 1 x 1hr Gym Jam band lesson each month.

Over a 12 month period, this totals 52 lessons: 40 x 45 minute regular lessons and 12 x 1 hr Gym Jams.
